Eccles Library

The Eccles Library is a non-lending reference facility open to the public. The collection has an emphasis on anthropology, archaeology, and art. This space is generally open to the public during regular museum hours, and is often used as a space for small meeting groups or field trip educational activities.

Library Policies

  • The library is open during regular Herrett Center hours.
  • Library patrons must register at the Reception Desk.
  • Library patrons may be asked to check in backpacks.
  • Holdings are cataloged using Library of Congress designations.
  • Holdings are for in-house use only and are not lent for any reason.
  • Photocopies are available at 10¢ per page.
  • Do not reshelve books. Place them on the book cart.

Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Thursdays 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Fridays 9:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturdays 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays, Mondays, and Federal holidays. Admission to the museum is always free.

Frost Learning Lab

The Herrett Center's Frost Learning Lab is available for small group meetings and special events. A slide projector, computer projector, and VHS/DVD video projector with sound system are available for use.
