New Planetarium Show

"Legends of the Starry Realm" (with live sky tour) — Now Showing

Ride through the clouds to the rescue of the beautiful Princess Andromeda. Stalk the evil Minotaur in the King Minos’ terrifying Labyrinth. Travel with Orpheus and his magical harp through Hades in search of his beloved Euridice. Sail in an ancient ship beneath a sky filled with legends that have transcended time.

After the show, a live show presenter takes you on a tour of the current night sky, including tips for locating the planets, how to find to find constellations, and ancient myths about the stars.

Summer Solar Session #1

📅 Wednesday, May 27th | ⏰ 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. | Free Admission

Experience the power of the cosmos - right in the daytime sky!

Safely observe the Sun through specially filtered telescopes and witness real sunspots along with the dynamic details of the solar atmosphere. Then look beyond our star to spot an 81% illuminated (gibbous) Venus, Jupiter, and bright stars - visible in the daylight through our 24" telescopes.

Weather permitting. Clear skies are required for viewing.

Celebrate the creativity and talent of the College of Southern Idaho community at this special Art Reception featuring works by CSI staff and faculty artists. Explore a diverse collection of artwork spanning a variety of styles and mediums while meeting the artists behind the pieces in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Nestled on the main campus of the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, the Herrett Center for Arts and Sciences provides a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors to step away from their busy lives, and discover the history and nature of the world around them.

The Faulkner Planetarium takes visitors around the universe, encouraging the discovery of Earth, space, and science with its weekly show schedule. The Centennial Observatory allows visitors to see beyond our home, with the ability to view space both during the day and at night. The museum galleries bring us back to Earth, featuring exciting artifacts from Idaho and beyond.
