Culture for Change is a grassroots organization established in Twin Falls in 2019, committed to empowering women and youth through education, training, and a sense of belonging in the community.
Winnie Christensen is the founder and director of the Culture for Change Foundation. Winnie will present an inspiring program highlighting the importance of community involvement as well as describing the positive impact Culture for Change has had so far by providing education and training for women and youth to promote cultural, social, and financial independence through an inclusive safe space that inspires confidence and joy.

Winnie Christensen, the founder and director of the Culture for Change Foundation, is an inspiring individual who has made significant contributions to various fields. With an impressive range of roles and achievements, she has demonstrated her dedication to fostering positive change and promoting inclusivity. Winnie's leadership extends to being the president of the Urban Cultural Fashion Show, co-founder of the Refugee and Women of Colour Coalition, cultural storyteller/attaché, community advocate, and speaker. She also serves as the Vice president of the Magic Valley Arts Council and played a pivotal role in co-creating the City of Twin Falls' first Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Having previously served as the Director of Miss Africa Idaho for six years, Winnie's commitment to empowering women and embracing diversity is evident. Additionally, she proudly identifies as a Rotarian, cherishes her role as a wife and mother, and understands the importance of family values.
Her educational background in Political Science and International Relations has provided her with the knowledge and tools to make a meaningful impact.
By fostering empathy and understanding, Winnie strives to create a chain reaction of positive change and inclusivity in society.
