Exhibits in the King Gallery are co-sponsored by the College of Southern Idaho Art Department and Associated Students of CSI. This schedule is subject to change without notice.

Currently on Exhibit:

  • The Jean B. King Gallery is currently closed while we install our next exhibit (see below), opening date to be announced.

Upcoming Exhibits:

  • Alternate Current by Caleb Weintraub.  Notice: The gallery opening and reception for this exhibit, originally scheduled for Tuesday, 1/25, have been postponed due to Covid and weather-related shipping delays.  A new opening date will be announced as soon as it is available.  Once installed, the exhibit will be open through March 26th, 2022.
  • Annual CSI Student Show, April 12th through May 7th.
    March 29th-31stArtwork submission, online or Herrett Center (check with your instructors!)
    April 1stFaculty selects works for exhibition.  (Half of tag removed to indicate selection.)
    April 1st-7thStudents check with instructors to see if their artwork has been selected.
    April 7th, 10:00 AM-4:30 PMDeadline for framed, installation-ready work to be returned to the Herrett Center.  (Work that hasn't been selected must be reclaimed by 4:30 PM.)
    April 8thExhibit installation at the Herrett.
    April 12th, 7:00 PMShow opening/public reception.
    May 7thShow closes.
    May 10th-13thArtwork pick-up.  Museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays.  (Pieces remaining at the Herrett Center after May 13th will be discarded.

Mission Statement of the Jean B. King Gallery of Art

The Jean B. King Gallery of Art, in cooperation with the College of Southern Idaho Fine Arts Department and the Herrett Center for Arts and Science, offers exhibitions and programs which showcase contemporary art and art issues. The gallery presents national and international exhibitions and supporting programs that expand community awareness of the visual arts while also striving to recognize and promote visual artists residing in Idaho.

Policy on the Exhibit of Potentially Objectionable Material

Due to content that may challenge some visitors' aesthetic, moral, or ethical standards, the Herrett Center for Arts & Science recommends a preview of shows and exhibits by parents, guardians, or teachers prior to bringing younger viewers to the Center. Images in presentations and shows, and objects on display in our galleries may not represent the philosophy of the Herrett Center or College of Southern Idaho.
