Nightcrawler by Bear P. |

“My animal is called the Nightcrawler. It is a mammal that lives in the temperate rainforest. It is a carnivore
that eats mice and deer. It is as big as a panther with two horns right above its big, brown eyes that help it see at night. It has
snake-like scales on its body for armor, spikes on its back, and sharp teeth to take down its prey. It has whiskers, hyena-like paws, and a
furry tail with a sharp spike at the end that it can use to defend itself. During the day the Nightcrawler finds a spot to sleep by itself
but at night it comes out and lives in a group of other Nightcrawlers.” |

“I picked Nightcrawler because it was obviously a really cool creature. I thought the picture was incredible,
and the background information really made me want to work on this project. If I could have a real Nightcrawler for a pet, I think
that'd be awesome. I'm currently employed full time as a librarian and have worked in the professional art world for about 20 years.
I went to art school for graphic design and then earned a Master's degree in Art History. I was lucky to have a fantastic drawing
to work with from the start. When I saw it, I thought it would be fun to make a 3-d version of Nightcrawler with moveable parts.
(The arms and legs, tail, and head can be adjusted as long as it's done carefully). I like to work with materials that I find at the
hardware store, and my garage is always full of odds and ends from all kinds of woodworking, mechanical, and tinkering projects.”
