Creating Critters - Aluhcroc

Creating Critters - 2020

Aluhcroc by Zander W.

“My animal is called the Aluhcroc.  It is a reptile that lives in the waters and banks of rivers and streams.  It is a carnivore that hunts for medium sized fish with its sharp teeth that are as big as thumbnails.  It is as long as a grown up's leg with short legs.  It has white scales on its body with a row of triangular scales that run from the top of his head to the tip of his curly tail that is as long as three fourths of a third grader's leg.  The Aluhcroc lives by itself until it wants a girlfriend.  The female Aluhcroc lays eggs and watches over them until they hatch and then she leaves.  Then the male Aluhcroc take care of the babies until they can take care of themselves.”
“Hello, my name is Chris Limas.  I have a degree from the College of Southern Idaho in Graphic Design and in Photography.  Art has been a part of my life since I can remember.  I loved the description of the animal and I really enjoyed and like the family dynamic of the creature – it stood out to me.  So I based my piece on that dynamic and wanted to make a display of the animal and have an actual egg of the creature to be felt and held.” – Chris Limas
